Playwright in CI/CD

We set up Playwright to run in your pipeline so every change is checked automatically. That covers parallel runs, cached browsers, traces and reports saved as artifacts, and a clear rule for which tests block a merge. Flaky tests are tracked in the open, not hidden by retries.

Which CI systems do you work with?

Any that can run Node and browsers, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps and CircleCI. Tests run inside your CI under your accounts and secrets, so you keep control of where the code runs and who can change it.

How do you keep pipeline runs fast?

We split tests across parallel workers, spread the suite over several machines when it grows, cache browser downloads, and run a small smoke set on every pull request with the full suite on a schedule or before release. You choose the balance between speed and coverage.

What happens when a test fails?

The pipeline saves the HTML report, the trace and the video as downloadable artifacts, so you can replay what happened step by step. Failures show on the pull request. The same evidence is available locally, so a developer can reproduce the failure without waiting for the pipeline.

How do you treat flaky tests in CI?

We don’t add blanket retries. A flaky test is investigated and fixed, or moved to a quarantine list that is visible in the report, with a reason and an owner. Retries, if used at all, are limited, switched on deliberately and reported, never silent.

What does Playwright CI/CD integration cost?

Each project is quoted on its scope, so there’s no price list. The main cost drivers are which CI system you use, how long the suite takes, how many machines it needs, whether you want preview deployment testing, and how much reporting you want. Request a quote and we reply by email.

Frequently asked questions

Can tests run against preview deployments?

Yes. The pipeline can wait for a preview URL and run the suite against it.

Can you test with production-like data?

We use dedicated test data and accounts. We avoid copying real customer data into test environments.

Will you manage our pipeline?

We set it up and hand it over. Day-to-day ownership stays with your team.
