How is the cost calculated?
Escaped bugs: bugs per month, times hours to diagnose and fix each one, times the hourly cost of the people involved. Wrong AI answers: answers per month, times your estimated cost of each one. The total is the two added together, and the yearly figure is twelve times the monthly one.
Does this show what testing would save?
No. It shows what poor quality costs you today, based on your own estimates. How much of that cost testing removes depends on your product, so we scope it in a quote and don’t promise a figure.
Where do I find these numbers?
Your issue tracker shows escaped bugs and how long they took to fix. Support tickets, refunds and escalations show wrong AI answers and what they cost. Rough estimates are fine. Use the same method each month so you can compare.
